History
Business began in 1994 as Alliance Datacom LP in Dallas, Texas, by two experienced telecom and datacom equipment salesmen. The company was a new equipment value added reseller (VAR) and reseller of refurbished legacy telecom equipment. Alliance Datacom was a sales partner for Nortel, Adtran, and Motorola. Lucent was added when that manufacturer was divested from AT&T in 1996, and then Cisco was added.
In 1998 Reggie Grant joined the company as its Managing Director for the purpose of building the third leg of the business: the resale of new and refurbished IP-Based Networking Hardware. At that time, the company arranged a contractual relationship for the resale of equipment with 3Com Networking Hardware and Ascend Communications.
In the early 2000’s, during the period of the Dot Com Bubble burst, Alliance Datacom experienced a significant influx of equipment for resale and a significant increase in customers wanting networking equipment at reduced prices due to lowered budgets.
In 2017, Alliance Datacom dissolved. Reggie Grant acquired the rights to Alliance Datacom and moved operations to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where he established Alliance Networking LLC.
The company continues to operate today as Alliance Networking LLC in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, under the leadership of Reginald Grant, Owner.
Milestones

1994 – Alliance Datacom formed in Dallas, Texas, by founders Jim Smylie and Steve Taggart for the purpose of selling new and refurbished telecom equipment.

1998 – Reggie Grant joins Alliance Datacom in Dallas, Texas, as Managing Director, introducing the sale of new and refurbished IP-based networking hardware to customers.

2017 – Alliance Datacom dissolves and partners disband. Reggie Grant leaves Alliance Datacom and forms R. Grant Company LLC with Alliance Networking LLC as the d/b/a in the State of North Carolina to continue the advance of sales of new and refurbished telecom equipment and IP-based networking hardware to customers. Website: AllianceNetworking.com launches. Government Cage ID is secured.

2021 – Reggie Grant, founder of R Grant Company LLC d/b/a Alliance Networking LLC acquires the rights to Alliance Datacom.

2023 – Alliance Networking LLC converts to stand-alone entity in the State of Florida.

2024 – Alliance Networking LLC forms partnerships with OEMs: Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, Ubiguiti, Cambium, and Antaira; and Distributors: D&H Distributors, Ingram Micro, Jenne, Carasoft, and Exclusive Networks. The Regg Report and Customer Connect e-news is introduced.
